Due to knee problems, standout players Klay Thompson and Draymond Green from the Golden State Warriors sat out in Thursday night’s match against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Coach Steve Kerr mentioned that he foresees both athletes being ready for the game at home against the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday.

Thompson (affected by tendinitis) was replaced by Chris Paul, while Jonathan Kuminga stepped in for Green (suffering from a contusion).

In the prior game, a 134-120 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, Thompson and Green each made five 3-point baskets. Thompson contributed 27 points, and Green added 15 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds.

As of Thursday, the Warriors (44-35) were positioned 10th in the standings of the Western Conference. The Golden State team is ready for the upcoming play-in tournament scheduled for next week.
