Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam both contributed 20 points each to propel the Indiana Pacers to victory over the Orlando Magic with a final score of 111-97 on Sunday.

Indiana, who found themselves trailing by 15 points early in the second quarter, saw impressive performances from T.J. McConnell and Obi Toppin, who scored 17 points apiece. Aaron Nesmith added 16 points, while Myles Turner recorded 12 points, eight rebounds, and six blocked shots.

Orlando’s Paolo Banchero led his team with 19 points, while Cole Anthony, Franz Wagner, and Wendell Carter Jr. contributed 16, 13, and 13 points respectively. Additionally, Joe Ingles chipped in with 11 points.

In an impressive display, the Pacers orchestrated a 30-point turnaround in the third quarter, shooting a remarkable 68.2 percent to surge ahead 87-71.

Despite an early attempt by Orlando to narrow the gap in the fourth quarter, Indiana responded with a flawless six-point streak to secure a 99-83 lead with 7:46 remaining.

Although Carter’s dunk reduced the deficit to 104-97 with 2:02 on the clock, the Pacers managed to maintain their lead, handing Orlando their second consecutive loss following a five-game winning streak.

The game opened with Magic dominating a 12-2 run to finish the first quarter ahead at 24-18.

Ingles extended Orlando’s lead to 35-20 with a 3-pointer at 9:23 in the second quarter, but Indiana fought back and closed the gap to 50-47 by halftime.

Siakam led the Pacers with 13 points in the first half, while Wagner contributed 11 for the Magic. Indiana struggled from beyond the arc, shooting 1 of 11 in the first half.

Taking the momentum into the second half, Indiana secured their first lead of the game at 54-53 on Haliburton’s layup, igniting a strong performance in the third quarter.

Indiana’s defense proved instrumental, limiting Orlando to 37.5 percent overall shooting, including a 9 of 36 performance from the 3-point line.

Missing key players like Jalen Suggs (right thigh contusion) and Markelle Fultz (left knee strain), Orlando faced challenges, while Indiana had to cope with forward Jalen Smith‘s absence due to illness.
