Luka Doncic put up 26 of his 28 points in the opening half, while Kyrie Irving contributed 18 of his 24 in the final two quarters, guiding the Dallas Mavericks to a convincing 132-96 win against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.

P.J. Washington added 14 points and led the game with 13 rebounds, with Tim Hardaway Jr. providing 22 points coming off the bench for the Mavericks, who secured their fifth consecutive victory, including their second consecutive win on a five-game road trip.

Domantas Sabonis managed 12 points, a team-best 11 rebounds, and a game-high nine assists for the Kings, who will face the Mavericks again in Sacramento on Friday.

Doncic propelled the Mavericks ahead with four successful 3-point shots and making nine of his 15 attempts in a remarkable first-half performance. Dallas shot 10-for-18 from beyond the arc to lead 58-53 at halftime.

The Mavericks extended their lead with a 31-point surge in the initial 7 1/2 minutes of the third quarter. Irving, who only scored six points in the first half, contributed 12 points to the decisive 31-12 run, opening up an 89-65 advantage.

In the second half, Irving netted four 3-pointers, with Doncic, Washington, and Hardaway also contributing four each, enabling the Mavericks to achieve a total of 22 successful attempts out of 39 tries (56.4 percent) from downtown, outscoring the typically proficient Kings beyond the arc with a 66-33 margin.

Doncic additionally secured 11 rebounds and provided six assists for the Mavericks (43-29), propelling them past the Kings (42-30) in the Western Conference standings, along with the Phoenix Suns who also hold a 42-30 record.

Irving led the team with eight assists during the night.

Daniel Gafford also reached double-digit scoring for the visitors with 10 points.

De’Aaron Fox led the Kings with 18 points, but struggled with his shooting, going 6-for-18, while Sabonis converted just 3-of-10 attempts.

Sacramento saw Keegan Murray with 17 points, and Keon Ellis and Malik Monk with 10 points each, maintaining a 2-1 lead over the Mavericks in the season series that concludes on Friday.

Dallas outperformed the home team, shooting 55.4 percent compared to Sacramento’s 38.9 percent.
