After highlighting the top high school basketball teams with the release of the National Top 10 rankings, the focus now shifts to the country’s best players.
Notable past All-Americans include Paolo Banchero (2020), Devin Booker (2014), Jaylen Brown (2015), Jalen Brunson (2014 and 2015), Anthony Davis (2011), Kevin Durant (2008), James Harden (2007), Jayson Tatum (2014-2016), Karl-Anthony Towns (2014), and Zion Williamson (2017 and 2018).
This year’s Preseason All-America Team features 20 players, led by 2022-23 MaxPreps National Player of the Year Cameron Boozer, top-ranked senior A.J. Dybantsa, and No. 3-ranked senior prospect Darryn Peterson.

Darryn Peterson, Prolific Prep (Napa, Calif.)

Following a strong individual season that saw him average 24 points, six rebounds and four assists per game, Peterson earned third team MaxPreps Junior All-America honors in his lone season at Huntington Prep. The five-star prospect is expected to be the catalyst for a talented Crew unit.
