Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis assures his availability at the start of the team’s playoff journey next Tuesday following an early exit from Sunday’s last regular-season game due to back spasms.

Securing the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference play-in tournament, the Lakers are set to clash against the New Orleans Pelicans, who hold the No. 7 seed.

This upcoming matchup will be a repetition of Sunday’s face-off, in which the Lakers triumphed over the home team, the New Orleans Pelicans, with a score of 124-108, despite Davis departing in the fourth quarter for back spasms treatment.

During an attempt to grab a rebound, Pelicans’ forward Larry Nance Jr. nudged Davis from the rear, leading to the injury. Davis, who has a history of injuries, later clarified that his back seized up as a consequence of the incident.

“I was in the air,” Davis said. “Obviously it’s a dangerous play. I know he’s not a dirty player.”

Having initiated his professional career with the Pelicans, Davis capped off the game with an impressive 30-point performance on 13-of-17 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Lakers. Throughout the season, he maintained an average of 24.7 points and 12.6 rebounds across 76 games.
