NBA Breaks Record for All-Time Regular-Season Attendance

The NBA achieved unprecedented figures in regular-season attendance, marking new highs for total audience size, average participation, and full-capacity games for the second consecutive year in 2023-24.

The latest data published by the association on Monday revealed a total attendance of 22,536,341 (compared to 22,234,502 in the previous year), an average crowd size of 18,322 (up from 18,077 last term), and 872 sellouts (791 in the prior season). The arenas operated at a record-high occupancy rate of 98 percent.

A total of ten teams managed to pack their home stadiums for every single game: Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, and Sacramento Kings.

The league disclosed that spectators hailing from over 150 nations and regions participated in games throughout the regular season, which concluded on Sunday.
