Minnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns is expected to make a comeback when they face the Atlanta Hawks this Friday, following a five-week absence due to a torn meniscus in his left knee.

Towns was marked as questionable on Thursday, increasing the likelihood of his participation in the forthcoming game against the Hawks.

On March 4, Towns sustained the knee injury during a match against the Portland Trail Blazers, and after receiving clearance for full-contact activities on Tuesday, he is anticipated to return to the court soon.

The Timberwolves are currently trailing the Denver Nuggets by one game with only two matches left, engaging in a competitive three-way battle for the lead spot in the Western Conference, where the Oklahoma City Thunder are also in contention, just one game behind.

Minnesota will wrap up its regular season on Sunday against the Phoenix Suns at home.
