In a Thursday night clash, Damian Lillard orchestrated 30 points and 12 assists, complemented by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s contribution of 21 points and nine rebounds, propelling the Milwaukee Bucks to a 115-108 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, who made a fourth-quarter comeback attempt.

Adding to Milwaukee’s dominance were Brook Lopez with 17 points, Malik Beasley with 16 points, and AJ Green with a noteworthy 15 points from beyond the arc. The Bucks (45-25) sealed a triumphant sweep over the Nets (26-44) with this victory.

Despite falling behind by 20 points towards the end of the first half, Brooklyn managed to trim the lead to 81-69 by the conclusion of the third quarter. The Nets launched a remarkable 21-6 surge at the onset of the final quarter, overtaking the Bucks 90-87 with 6:41 left on the clock.

Following a nail-biting sequence, Milwaukee reclaimed the lead and maintained a 103-98 edge post an Antetokounmpo basket with 2:34 remaining. A trey by Mikal Bridges trimmed the lead to two points, but Beasley’s crucial 3-pointer at 1:37 marked a significant turning point in the game.

Lillard stepped up for the Bucks, scoring the subsequent five points to cement the victory and enhance their impressive 28-7 home record.

The Nets were led by Bridges with 24 points, followed by Nic Claxton with 22, Cam Thomas with 21, and Cam Johnson with 17. Despite their efforts, the Nets suffered their fifth consecutive loss and struggled with a 29.5 percent shooting accuracy from three-point range (13 of 44).

Antetokounmpo made a triumphant return after missing two games due to left hamstring tendinopathy, impressively scoring nine points in the opening quarter to guide the Bucks to a 26-19 lead.

By showcasing a remarkable display in the second quarter, with Lillard contributing eight crucial points during a 14-4 surge, Milwaukee extended their lead to 53-35 with less than three minutes left in the quarter.

Lopez and Green displayed their prowess with three 3-pointers each in the second quarter, leading the Bucks to a commanding 60-44 halftime advantage. Lopez contributed 15 points in the first half, whereas Thomas emerged as the top scorer for the Nets with 12 points.

Despite Brooklyn’s resurgence and narrowing the gap to 71-67 through Bridges’ 3-point shot, the Bucks finished the third quarter emphatically with a 10-2 run.

Milwaukee had to make do without forward Khris Middleton, who was sidelined due to left ankle injury management.
