Leading the way with 21 points, Devin Booker orchestrated a collective effort from the Phoenix Suns, propelling them to a 107-96 win over the home team Charlotte Hornets on Friday evening.

Grayson Allen contributed 17 points, Bradley Beal notched 15 points, Eric Gordon made an impact with 14 points coming off the bench, while both Jusuf Nurkic and Kevin Durant tallied 13 points each for Phoenix (39-28).

Nurkic’s impressive 21 rebounds played a crucial role in the Suns’ dominant performance on the boards, giving them a significant 57-48 rebounding edge, especially vital after a loss to Boston the previous night.

The Hornets (17-50) were led by Vasilije Micic‘s 21 points and Grant Williams20 points. Despite their efforts, the team has now suffered defeats in eight of their last ten games. Miles Bridges recorded 17 points and 10 rebounds, Brandon Miller scored 14 points, and Tre Mann added 12 points to the Hornets’ tally.

In a remarkable comeback attempt, the Hornets surged back from a 25-point deficit at the start of the fourth quarter to narrow the gap to 94-84 with 6:43 left, spurred by a spirited 17-2 run that was halted by an important 3-pointer from Allen.

However, Charlotte struggled to find their offensive rhythm down the stretch, going without a field goal for 3 1/2 minutes as the Suns re-established a 16-point lead by the three-minute mark.

The Hornets’ woeful 3-point shooting, going 4-for-29 through three quarters, ultimately proved to be their downfall, finishing the game 6-for-37 from beyond the arc.

Despite maintaining low turnovers with only five miscues, Charlotte could not capitalize on their ball security, shooting just 37.2 percent from the field.

Eric Gordon’s successful 3-point shooting, accounting for four of the Suns’ 11 treys, played a key role in Phoenix’s victory, despite a 28.9 shooting percentage from deep (11 of 38). Overall, the Suns shot 46 percent from the field.

Even with a 64-52 lead early in the second half, no Phoenix starter had yet hit double figures. Instead, they boasted a balanced scoring sheet with four starters collecting nine points and one with eight, until Kevin Durant’s crucial 3-pointer put him at the helm of the scoring effort.

A timely 3-pointer from Gordon extended the lead to 75-58 as the Suns continued to build their advantage.

At halftime, Phoenix held a 54-45 lead, largely thanks to Nurkic’s impressive 12 first-half rebounds.

Being a three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year and a three-time All-Star, Gobert maintained an average of 14.0 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks in 76 games during the regular season.

Standing tall at 7-foot-1, the 31-year-old Gobert has an overall average of 12.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks throughout his career in 757 games for the Utah Jazz (2013-22) and the Timberwolves.
