Scoring 35 points, Damian Lillard led the Milwaukee Bucks to a 124-117 victory against the Clippers in Los Angeles on Sunday afternoon with Giannis Antetokounmpo contributing 34 points.

Both Lillard and Antetokounmpo secured seven rebounds and attained double-digit assists. Malik Beasley chipped in with 17 points.

In the absence of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard due to injuries, Norman Powell led the Clippers with 26 points, supported by Ivica Zubac with 18 points and Amir Coffey who scored 16 while grabbing 10 rebounds.

The first half saw minimal gap between the two teams. With 17 lead changes and a maximum lead of seven points for either side, the game remained close until halftime, despite Milwaukee going on a 21-10 streak in the midst of the second period.

Los Angeles managed to score 8 unanswered points towards the end of the second quarter, heading into halftime with a 62-59 lead.

By halftime, Antetokounmpo had notched 14 points for Milwaukee while Zubac led Los Angeles with 12 points. The Clippers struggled from beyond the arc, shooting only 27.3% compared to Milwaukee’s 50%.

Milwaukee seized a slight advantage in the third quarter, using a 13-3 surge to go up 88-80 and ultimately winning the quarter 32-23.

The start of the fourth quarter was challenging for Milwaukee as the Clippers quickly executed an 8-0 run to level the score, resuming the back-and-forth battle seen in the first half.

The decisive blow for Milwaukee was delivered by Lillard with 1:19 remaining. The standout player sunk a deep, step-back 3-pointer, extending Milwaukee’s lead to 119-109. Lillard accumulated 16 points in the final quarter.

This victory for the Bucks brought an end to their two-game losing streak on this California road trip and halted Los Angeles’ two-game winning streak.
