Displaying his accuracy, Stephen Curry connected on his first seven 3-point attempts during his 42-point performance. Jonathan Kuminga also contributed with 18 points as the Golden State Warriors wrapped up an impressive journey with their second win in as many nights, overpowering the Indiana Pacers 131-109 in Indianapolis on Thursday.

Playing their fifth game in seven days and choosing to give veteran Klay Thompson a rest, Golden State outplayed the Pacers, scoring 45 points in the opening quarter and maintaining a comfortable lead for the remainder of the game.

Curry went 6-for-6 on 3-pointers in the first-quarter blitz, enabling the Warriors to secure an 11-point lead and ultimately conclude their trip through the East and Midwest with a third consecutive victory and fourth win in five games.

Performing on the same court where he will compete in a 3-point shootout against WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu on All-Star Saturday, Curry finished 11-for-16 on 3-pointers, matching the third-most in his career.

In the process, he became the first Warriors player to register 40 or more points in a game at Indiana.

Curry made 15 of 22 shots overall, while Kuminga connected on 9 of 16 attempts, boosting the visitors’ shooting percentage to 55.9%. They also made 17 of 32 (53.1%) 3-pointers.

Rookie forward Gui Santos provided a lift off the bench for Golden State with 13 points and eight rebounds, both marking season highs. Additionally, Andrew Wiggins and Dario Saric each contributed 11 points.

Brandin Podziemski and Draymond Green also made valuable contributions to the Golden State effort, with Podziemski tallying nine points, seven rebounds, and a team-leading seven assists in Thompson’s starting role. Green recorded eight points, eight rebounds, and five assists, and both players also secured two steals.

Pascal Siakam led six Pacers in double figures with 16 points and eight rebounds, equalling Santos and Green for game-high honors. However, All-Star Tyrese Haliburton, who delivered a game-high 11 assists, managed just five points on 2-for-7 shooting.

Myles Turner scored 15 points, Jalen Smith 14, Aaron Nesmith 13, Bennedict Mathurin 11, and Andrew Nembhard 10 for Indiana, which saw its two-game winning streak come to an end. Nesmith also recorded five steals.

In the opener of the Western Conference semifinal series on Saturday, Gobert played a significant role by contributing six points, grabbing 13 rebounds, making three blocks, and assisting three times in the team’s 106-99 victory.

Being a three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year and a three-time All-Star, Gobert maintained an average of 14.0 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks in 76 games during the regular season.

Standing tall at 7-foot-1, the 31-year-old Gobert has an overall average of 12.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks throughout his career in 757 games for the Utah Jazz (2013-22) and the Timberwolves.

If Gobert is unable to play against the reigning champions, Naz Reid, who won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year this season, may step into the starting lineup.
