Hornets Stun Kings to End 11-Game Losing Sreak

Terry Rozier tallied 34 points as the Charlotte Hornets put an end to an 11-game losing streak by staging a comeback to claim a 111-104 win against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night.

Miles Bridges contributed 27 points for Charlotte, wrapping up the game with 10 consecutive points to secure their first victory since Dec. 8. P.J. Washington added 17 points off the bench for the Hornets, who shot an impressive 75 percent from the field (12 of 16) during a 36-point final quarter.

De’Aaron Fox notched 30 points, six assists and five rebounds for the Kings, who have suffered three defeats in their last five games. Domantas Sabonis delivered 23 points and 19 rebounds but also committed a career-worst 11 turnovers.

Thunder 127, Celtics 123

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander racked up 36 points and Josh Giddey added a season-high 23 as Oklahoma City defeated visiting Boston. With 3.7 seconds remaining, Kristaps Porzingis made what seemed to be a corner 3-pointer that would have narrowed Oklahoma City’s lead to one. However, Porzingis’ foot was on the line, leading to the shot being ruled as a 2 instead. The Thunder maintained a 125-123 lead.

Gilgeous-Alexander sunk a pair of free throws after being fouled following an inbounds pass, effectively sealing the victory. Porzingis led Boston with 34 points and 10 rebounds. The win extended the Thunder’s winning streak to five games, halting the Celtics’ six-game winning streak.

DeMar DeRozan led the injury-plagued Bulls with 16 points, while Ayo Dosunmu and Coby White contributed 15 and 14 points, respectively. Andre Drummond secured a double-double of 11 points and 17 rebounds.

Pelicans 112, Nets 85

CJ McCollum led the way with 16 points in a well-rounded scoring effort as New Orleans dominated struggling Brooklyn from start to finish.

McCollum was joined in double figures by six teammates, with Herbert Jones scoring 14 points, Jose Alvarado adding 13 off the bench, and Brandon Ingram chipping in with 12. Jonas Valanciunas contributed 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Cameron Johnson led the Nets with 17 points, Mikal Bridges had 13, and Day’Ron Sharpe added 12 as they succumbed to their fourth consecutive loss.
