The offense of the Toronto Raptors has been performing well, and they will face a challenge when they go against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night.

The Raptors, who have achieved a shooting percentage of 50 percent or higher in four consecutive games, will aim for their initial three-game winning streak of the season. Their recent performance includes a 121-108 home triumph over the Chicago Bulls on Friday, following a 132-131 road victory against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday.
After securing four consecutive wins, the Cavaliers experienced two successive losses, falling 121-115 to the Los Angeles Lakers in their recent home game on Saturday night. Donovan Mitchell, who had missed four games due to a strained right hamstring, returned to the Cavaliers’ lineup and scored 22 points.
In their last four games, the Raptors have maintained an average shooting percentage of 52.9 percent (185-for-350) from the field. They have also achieved a franchise record of 25 or more assists in 12 consecutive games (Nov. 1-24), with an average of 30.2 assists during this period, surpassing their previous best of 10 games from Jan. 8-28, 2020.
Pascal Siakam, forward for the Raptors, commented on their playing style and the diverse sources of assists, mentioning the importance of increasing their cutting game to elevate their assist numbers further.
According to Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic, some areas still require improvement, such as reading plays, angles of screens, and adapting to different coverages from opposing defenses. In their recent game against the Lakers, Mitchell struggled with a 4-for-18 shooting from the field while providing six assists.
Jarrett Allen was a standout player for the Cavaliers with 21 points and 14 rebounds, alongside Evan Mobley, who contributed 18 points and six assists. Darius Garland, a guard for the Cavaliers, could not participate in the second half due to a neck injury, managing to score six points. Isaac Okoro returned to the Cleveland lineup after missing nine games with a sore left knee, contributing five points.
Expressing disappointment in their performance, Mobley acknowledged that the Cavaliers fell short in executing their plays and completing their mission against the Lakers.
The Cavaliers held a 40-35 lead after the first quarter and were ahead 71-70 at halftime.
The Raptors aim to surpass a .500 win percentage for the first time since their season opener. They have secured victories in four of their last five matchups against the Cavaliers, dating back to March 2022.

The Impact of Rudy Gobert's Absence Against the Nuggets in Game 2
Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert’s availability is questionable for the upcoming Game 2 happening on Monday night in Denver for personal reasons.
In the opener of the Western Conference semifinal series on Saturday, Gobert played a significant role by contributing six points, grabbing 13 rebounds, making three blocks, and assisting three times in the team’s 106-99 victory.
Being a three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year and a three-time All-Star, Gobert maintained an average of 14.0 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks in 76 games during the regular season.
Standing tall at 7-foot-1, the 31-year-old Gobert has an overall average of 12.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks throughout his career in 757 games for the Utah Jazz (2013-22) and the Timberwolves.
If Gobert is unable to play against the reigning champions, Naz Reid, who won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year this season, may step into the starting lineup.
